Why Study in Sweden ?

According to the European Innovation Scoreboard, Sweden is the most innovative and entrepreneurial nation in Europe, while maintaining a very high quality of life and having a history with excellence in providing quality education. Sweden has outstanding universities that date back to the 15th Century. Sweden is also home to the most coveted academic distinction in the world, the Nobel Prize.

The industry and academic working in close cooperation in the country has also added to the country's reputation as a great innovator. The emphasis of Swedish universities has been on investigative research and independent thinking. The emphasis is on providing quality education and award nationally certified degrees.

Choice of around 500 masters program in English. There are about 31,000 foreign students studying in Sweden, ie. around 8% of the total student body. Currently, tuition fees are fully subsidized by the Swedish state, for national and international students alike. There are also scholarships available to cover living expenses, most of the foreign students in Sweden fund their living expenses themselves.

Entry Requirements

Language Proficiency 


All applicants must demonstrate a minimum proficiency in English by taking the competitive tests like IELTS or TOEFL. For international applicants whose native language is not English, they have to demonstrate proficiency in English by obtaining a minimum score of 85 points out of 120 in TOEFL or a minimum band score of 6.5 out of 9.0 in IELTS.

Admission Procedure

Before you apply, you should have completed a course of study leading to a degree or diploma equivalent to 180 ECTS (three years of full-time undergraduate study). In many cases a bachelors degree will be regarded as fulfilling this requirement. Most of the universities that offer International degree programs in English will ask a TOEFL/IELTS score, but even that is usually waived if the students education has been in English language

Visa Procedure

Documentation Required to Submit the Application for Swedish Student Visa

  1. A copy of valid passport showing the identity of the student.
  2. A certificate showing that the student is enrolled for the full time study.
  3. A certificates showing that the student have comprehensive health insurance that is valid in Sweden.
  4. A certificate from a bank confirming that student have enough fund to support their stay in Sweden or the necessary documents that show that student have received a scholarship, study grant or any other type of financial aid.
